Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP), originates from surfing that originated in Hawaii. Unlike the traditional surfing on which person is lying on the board and waiting for thewave, SUP boarder stands on their boards and use a paddle to break through the water and maneuver through the waves. In 2017, SUP boarding was recorded as an open-air activity with the highest increase in the United States.
SUP as a sport develops in several directions, such as outdoor recreation, fitness or sightseeing, lakeside racing, surfing on large rivers and canals, surfing on ocean waves, yoga surfing and surfing in wild waters.
